Samsung Electronics is in talks with Intel to merge its own Bada mobile operating system with the Intel-backed platform Tizen seeking to reduce its dependence on Android.

Samsung Senior Vice President commented during an interview with Forbes magazine last week at the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas that Samsung is seeking to merge its Bada mobile operating system with a platform it is building with Intel called Tizen.Tae-Jin Kang said that Bada will most likely to be used on the firm’s low-power, single core smartphones. CES 2012 Recap

Once the edition of CES 2012 is finished, it is the time to do an analysis of all the new products.

It seemed that this would be the year of the ultrabooks and Smart televisions and they have been really the products that have attracted the attention of the visitors.

LG presented a model of TV with a 55-inch OLED screen while its closest competitor; the Korean Samsung also presented its Smart TV with access to Samsung Apps and support for 3D images.
Lenovo has presented his K91, the first Android-controlled TV with Ice Cream Sandwich.

Speaking of Ultrabooks we basically have seen copies of Apple’s well-known model with similar prices (Prices should be adjusted during the year 2012)
Probably Lenovo with its IdeaPad YOGA has presented the biggest news in this segment. A ultrabook Tablet convertible with a 13.1-inch capacitive screen HD + (1600 x 900 resolution) 8 GB of RAM, 256GB SSD.

We must also talk about the fake demo by Intel, presenting the capabilities of their new Ivy Bridge-ULV chips.

There is nothing new in the Tablets. Large companies we offer a variety of format and prices.
We already talked about the Toshiba Excite X10 with a price above the iPad 2, so that hardly going to approach the public.
We could see an interesting presentation of XO 3.0 by OLPC.

Regarding Smartphones we must talk about the Sony Xperia S and Lenovo K800 and the first smartphone with Intel.

From my point of view, the major progress that has been shown at CES 2012 has been the integration of Android in our lives. It is not only present in our mobile phones, also appears in our cameras, washing machines, fridges, televisions… Soon we will be able to control everything from your phone or tablet.

The next big date with the technology will be in Barcelona from February 27th to March 1st during the celebration of the Mobile Word Congress.
